Founded in 1929 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Sun Gro is North America's largest producer of horticulture-grade peat and the largest distributor of peat moss, peat-based and bark-based growing media to professional plant growers in the U.S. and Canada.

Sun Gro sells professional products primarily to green-house, nursery and specialty crop growers, as well as to golf course developers and landscapers. In addition, Sun Gro sells peat moss and peat-based growing mixes to retail customers, either by way of private label partnerships or under our own brand names.

Sun Gro Horticulture Income Fund (the Fund) is a limited-purpose open-ended trust created to acquire and hold the securities of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada ltd. and its wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively "Sun Gro"). Distributions to the Fund's unitholders, currently made monthly, are dependant on the performance of Sun Gro.

The Sun Gro Horticulture Income Fund was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE: GRO.UN) on March 27 2002, by way of an initial public offering of 22.023 million units at $10 each. Fund distributions are made monthly.
