Sun Gro Horticulture and Black Gold present Mike Darcy’s 19^th Annual Plant Nerd Night held on Friday, March 6, at the Lake Bible Church in 4565 Carman Drive, Lake Oswego. Doors open at 5:30 pm (note this is a half-hour earlier than in the past). The program begins at 7:00 pm.

Since the inception of Plant Nerd Night nineteen years ago, Black Gold has been the presenting sponsor. This event is organized under the umbrella of the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon, Rogerson Clematis Garden, and Salem Hardy Plant Society. It is the first major garden event in the Portland metro area and has become a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of a new garden season and to meet with other like-minded people. Six specialty growers/garden centers will present some of their new plant introductions as well as old favorites. All presenters will have plants for sale.

This year the presenters are:

• Cistus Nursery
• Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden
• Rogerson Clematis Garden
• Northwest Garden Nursery

This is a great way to celebrate the beginning of the spring season. Come and mingle with fellow gardeners This is a free event and is open to the public.

From January 16-18, 2020 Sun Gro Horticulture will be at the Gulf States Horticultural Expo’s trade show, which supports green industry businesses such as IGCs, hardware stores, and greenhouse growers. Come and see all of the premium retail brands of potting mixes and amendments Sun Gro has to offer, such as Black Gold, Fafard, and Sunshine. Look for new products to increase customer sales.

Sun Gro will be at Wintergreen Horticulture Conference and Tradeshow, Georgia’s prime event serving the state’s nursery and landscape industry. It will be held from January 21-23, 2020 at the Infinite Energy Center in Deluth, Georgia. Check out our booth to see the new products and services that we have to offer.
